Mel’s Story

“When I started CrossFit back in 2014 I was a cardio queen. I thought that hours on the treadmill or elliptical would make me skinny and I was right, I was tiny but what I wasn’t was strong; in fact when I was asked to hang on the bar during my first class I couldn’t do it. Getting healthy isn’t always about losing weight, it’s about gaining confidence and believing you can do things you never thought possible. Believe it or not there is only a +5lb difference between these pictures but the body composition changes have been unreal. I’m strong, confident and haven’t been on an elliptical in years! CrossFit Portsmouth has changed my life and I couldn’t be more thankful for everything this community has done for me.”
