The Port’s origin was in 2009 when CrossFit Portsmouth was founded. Over the past 7 years the gym and membership have grown steadily as the method and team produce real results. Into 2017 CrossFit Portsmouth is evolving into The Port. The Port aims to encompass everything that CrossFit Portsmouth is about, and more. As the gym and community moves into it’s next phase, The Port represents the broad range of health and fitness services that CrossFit Portsmouth has grown into, from Nutrition Consulting to Yoga to Specialty Training classes and programming. The core of our training still revolves around the principles and patterns of CrossFit, as it is unarguably one of the most effective approaches available.
Spacious And Modern Facilities
Our facility is state-of-the-art, but not in the way of your typical big-box gyms. We don’t have ellipticals or weight machines. We use your body and real weights to create free, natural movement. We only have machines that mimic functional movement, and none of those that don’t contribute to overall health and a lean, conditioned body. We welcome you to take a look around our box and our equipment – you won’t see full length mirrors but you’ll see results in your own mirror and in the fit of your clothes when you make the move to functional fitness.
Our gym represents the top tier of fitness training – we not only feel this way, but hear it from our members, as well as visiting CrossFitters . Our staff are committed and engaged in each member’s success. The programming is constantly varied, while also being both approachable for newbies and effective for the veterans.

Often members come join us with a specific goal in mind – maybe to loose 15lbs, fit into their clothes better, training for an upcoming race event, or to just get back in shape. We find though that the reasons for staying evolve past the intial goals, and we owe it to the amazing community that is our fitness family.
In our gym, you’ll find individuals from a range of occupations, athletic backgrounds, and ages. One thread that really weaves them together is the commitment to their health and the friendships that they’ve built at the gym. You will find a community hear that pushes each other to become better everyday.
