If you have been in the gym in the last couple of weeks, you might have noticed the big red box by the front door. It is there for a non profit called “End 68 Hours of Hunger”.
End 68 Hours of Hunger provides food for children who otherwise might not eat between their free lunch on Friday at school and their free breakfast on Monday morning.
In Portsmouth alone there are close to 100 children across the three elementary schools, middle school and highschool who participate in the program. We are looking for the following donations and anything helps.
Peanut Butter – 18 oz plastic
Jelly – 20 oz squeezable containers
Canned Pasta – Beefaroni, Ravioli, Spaghetti and Meatballs Canned Soup – 12-20 oz size
Macaroni and Cheese – Boxes not cups
Ramen Noodles – packages not cups
Canned fruit – 3-4 serving size
Granola Bars/Nutrition Bars
Cereal – Boxes or bags of 5-8 servings
Pop Tarts
Tuna or Chicken – 10 oz or lower cans
If we all make one donation, we can help a lot of children by filling 3 of those red boxes.
