It seems crazy that November has already come and gone, but here we are, approaching the last month of 2020. The past 4 weeks have had an emphasis on strength as we built from week to week on our Back Squat, Deadlift, and Strict Press. You will notice this week that we are moving into heavier sets of 2, next week we will de-load, and then retest our 2RM’s in the following week.
We’ve had quite a bit of time on the barbell in the conditioning department, but also have tested longer Metcons with lots of bodyweight movements. As the year comes to a close and a new year begins, our focus will start to shift towards preparing for The CrossFit Open! But, fear not, we will close out 2020 with one of my favorite workouts of the year, the 12 Days of Christmas WOD 🙂 So let’s look forward to that!
The holiday season can get busy and try to throw us off our routines and normal gym habits. Let’s set some personal goals of continuing to make our fitness and time for ourselves a priority. You’ve been hearing it everywhere, “it’s been QUITE the year,” but let’s power through December and close 2020 with a strong finish!
